Your Practical Guide to the Safari

When is the best time to go on a safari?

The dry season (June to October) is ideal for viewing animals as they naturally gather around the remaining water sources. The green season (January to March), on the other hand, offers lush landscapes of spectacular beauty and coincides with the calving season in the Serengeti.

What type of accommodation should I choose?

It entirely depends on the experience you are looking for. A luxury tented camp offers an absolute, intimate immersion in the heart of nature with high-end comfort. A solid-structure lodge offers more traditional facilities and additional amenities such as a swimming pool. We carefully select exceptional properties for every style, from authentic adventure to ultimate prestige.

What is the "Big 5"?

The "Big 5" is a historical term that once referred to the five mammals most complex and dangerous to track on foot. Today, they are the unmissable highlights of a photo safari: the lion, the leopard, the elephant, the buffalo, and the rhinocéros. Tanzania, and more specifically the Ngorongoro Crater, remains one of the most famous sanctuaries in the world for the opportunity to see them all together.

Is a safari suitable for children?

Absolutely, a safari is a deeply magical adventure to experience as a family. We design tailor-made itineraries adjusted to the pace of younger travelers, reducing travel times and prioritizing properties with suitable activities (secured pools, cultural workshops...). We generally suggest a minimum age of 6 to 7 years to ensure their comfort and allow them to marvel in complete safety.
