Vaccination and documents required for your 7 day great migration safari

  • Officially no vaccinations are mandatory regarding yellow fever or malaria but we highly recommend you to get vaccinated against the yellow fever before you travel to Tanzania.
  • Citizens of most Western countries need a visa for travel to Tanzania for visits up to 90 days. The cost is $50 USD for all nationalities and is valid for 30 days after issue, and $100 for USA citizen.
  • All travellers will need a passport which will remain valid for at least 6 months longer than your expected visit.
  • Each traveller is responsible for sorting out their own passport and visa requirements, and we cannot offer much assistance in this matter.

Day 1 Arrival in Arusha city

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Intl Airport, you’ll be greeted  by a member of Africa bucket list. And escorted to your hotel in Arusha where you will spend the night relaxing.

Day 2 Depart for the Serengeti National Park.

Your adventure begins as we set off for the iconic Serengeti National Park. Traverse diverse landscapes, from open grasslands to woodland savannas, as you make your way to your luxurious camp. Enjoy an evening game drive, spotting the Serengeti’s abundant wildlife and capturing stunning photographs.

Day 3 Game drive in the Serengeti (Seronera Area).

Today, we venture deeper into the heart of the Serengeti, witnessing the incredible spectacle of the Great Migration. Marvel at the vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles as they navigate the plains in search of fresh grazing lands. Keep an eye out for predators lurking nearby, ready to seize their opportunity.

Day 4 Game drive in the Serengeti (Central ) – Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Area)

Our journey continues northwards, following the migration path. As we enter the northern Serengeti, be prepared for an awe-inspiring sight as the herds face the daunting challenge of crossing the Mara River. Watch in awe as they navigate the crocodile-infested waters, displaying incredible determination and survival instincts.

Day 5 Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)

After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in the Kogatende area, from August to October the area turns into a wildlife paradise. The key feature is the Mara River and it is not uncommon to see the herds cross the Mara River north on one day and then back south a few days later.

Day 6 Ngorongoro crater

Bid farewell to the Serengeti as we journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, visit a local Maasai village and gain insights into their unique culture and traditions. As we approach the crater rim, soak in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Caldera, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

On the final day of your safari, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the “Garden of Eden.” Marvel at the diverse ecosystem thriving within this ancient volcanic caldera, home to a wide variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. After an unforgettable game drive, we return to Arusha, where we bid you farewell or assist with your onward travel arrangements.
